We can only lift up the carpet and put it back on again
Sometimes I get jobs like fixing squeaky floors or squeaky stairs.
Even though the job might be straight forward, the problems with those jobs are, the carpet might need to be cut from the seams, and re-seam again. It takes couple of hours at least. In some cases we need to remove the baseboards and put some screws behind the wall to the sub-floor.
We found out that the subfloor was secured to the joists with nails. Over time they get loose, and they start squeaking.
I can’t remember how many screws I put to the subfloor. The squeak was gone after all.
