I just cleaned my carpet today. Can you come stretch it now?

Accepted Answer

No, the carpet must be completely dry before stretching. Stretching a wet carpet can cause damage. Please wait at least two days after cleaning to ensure the carpet is fully dry.

I have a small wrinkle or bubble near the doorway; how much will it cost?

Accepted Answer

Even minor bubbles often indicate underlying installation issues. We use a professional power stretcher to fix it permanently. Depending on the room layout, we may need to lift from multiple sides, trim excess carpet, or seam it. A visit is might be required to provide an accurate estimate.

Once stretched, will it cause ripples in the future again or is this a permanent fix?

We will stretch your carpet with a Power Stretcher. It will go to the limit of the carpet. In general, this should be your last stretch call. But if you soak wet the carpet, drag heavy furniture (piano, pool table or even like a china cabinet), this will pull the carpet and will cause wrinkles.

I have a lot of furniture and do not want to move anything, can you help?

Yes, but we need space to work. Please ensure at least 50% of the room is cleared so the technician can maneuver. The floor has to be cluttered free, and we need to be able to lift the carpet from couple of sides by the walls. So the short answer if it is full of furniture, we can not do the job.

Will vacuuming damage stretched carpet? Is Dyson especially bad?

A properly stretched carpet is not harmed by vacuuming. Over time, ripples are usually caused by poor installation, not vacuums. Dyson or other vacuums are generally safe when used correctly.

What is your warranty on carpet stretching?

Accepted Answer

We tension carpets to their limits using a power stretcher, reducing the chance of future bubbles. Our limited warranty is 3 months, covering normal handling and care. Extreme wet cleaning, heavy furniture, or misuse may void this.

Can the strings that came out, can be repaired by re-threading them back in?

Unfortunately, re-threading commercial carpet is not something we’re able to offer. Due to the construction and wear patterns of commercial-grade materials, this type of repair is generally not feasible to perform. You’re welcome to contact other flooring companies to explore additional opinions – another contractor may suggest an alternative approach depending on their methods or available materials.

We only do repairs when the customer has the exact carpet. We do not install or supply carpet. We are strictly a repairing shop, when the customer has identical carpet or they supply their own carpet.

We can fix most of the carpet problems. The only issue is, when the carpet is too old, or seen more than normal traffic / wear and tear, the end result will vary. Carpet becomes fragile and the cuts to the carpet either shows the scar or the fibers start falling off. This is normal and should be acceptable.
