How do we repair the damaged area
First of all, most pet damages destroy the carpet. The damage destroys the carpet. You will need an exact piece from the original installation, or a piece from a closet corner. We can replace the closet or patch the corner with something similar.
Do we supply carpet for your project
It will be very hard for us, to match your current carpet. It is almost impossible. There are 1000s of carpet type and colour out there. If you don’t have it, chances are very slim, even you finding the same carpet from other suppliers. You might have to special order. With this intention we can use a closet piece for the repairs, but trust us, even your closet piece will look a bit off, compared to the carpet on the floor. Wear and tear over the years, changes the texture and the colour of the carpet. Contrary, the closet piece however, stayed the same as the first day of installation.
Pet Urine
Have you ever seen a heavily soiled carpet and area by a cat? It is unbelievable. Urine affects the carpet, underlay and in some instances, the nail strips, baseboards and the subfloor. If you see the affected area, it is like someone dropped a glass of olive oil in the area. it is heavy and oily looking substance. Solution
The best way is getting rid off the partial carpet in the affected area, the underlay and do an inspection. It might require to use a stain and odour eliminating agent called KILZ on the subfloor as well. This will block the smell coming back.
